Can We Use Blogs in Education?

Blogging can be used in education as well. It can be a classroom management tool. Teachers can post assignments and materials on the classroom’s page. They can also create online lectures that include Text, videos, images, or podcast. Using blogs in education can also help parents to be informed of what’s going on in their children's classrooms. That way, we can involve parents in their children’s education. Blogs are also providing flexible work time for students. They can be worked on at any time as long as the students have access to the internet.

  1. Computers and the Internet will be used in education. That's a fact tht educators need to live with and deal with. The ongoing question is how will this technology be used and how can it be used to improve learning and teaching. Your inclusion of images and the video are examples of processes that we know aid learning and the computer including blogs allow easy use of these media.

Unfortunately, and I'm an example of this, not all computers and online systems can effectively use all the modern technology. I'm in a remote area of Oregon and our satellite system doesn't allow me to watch your video. And while many people do have modern computers and fast Internet connections, I am not an exception and with our current economy, many parents and students will not have the most up-to-date technology in their homes. A balance is necessary.
